Our guidelines help make everyone’s visit to The Beauty Box Salon a pleasurable one. While this section appears to be lengthy, our objective is to define “normal” expectations so that everyone enjoys services received and atmosphere of The Beauty Box Salon.

Product Returns/Exchanges

Any product that is used or the seal is broken will qualify for a store credit or exchange for equal value. Exchanges must be made within 30 days of purchase and cannot be more than 25% used. Product Refunds

Any unused, unopened product can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.  After 30 days it will be at the managers discretion.

All hot tool sales are final. Defective hot tools can be exchanged within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days any issue will need to go through original manufacturer.

Due to sanitary issues, hair extension products cannot be returned for a refund. It will only qualify for store credit or exchange if product is defective and returned within 30 days. Hair extension products that are back ordered or not available will be refunded accordingly.

We give refunds in form of check or a chargeback to your credit card. We do not give cash refunds.

Redo/Refund Policy for Services:

If you are dissatisfied with a service you have received, we are happy to provide you the opportunity to return to the salon for us to redo the service. Redo’s are scheduled the same as regular appointments and are provided at no charge. We ask that you please call to schedule the redo within 1 week of the original service** and that the redo be scheduled with the same stylist who provided the service.

**Brazilian Blowouts have a 1 month guarantee when proper products have been purchased. Brazilian Blowouts are designed to last up to 10 to 12 weeks, however, longevity depends on several factors like how often you wash your hair and how many Brazilian Blowouts you have received in the past. Please ask your stylist for more details.

**Hair Extensions have a limited 1 month warranty. The Beauty Box Salon does not guarantee you will like hair extensions, however, does guarantee the workmanship and quality of your hair extensions. Please ask your stylist for details.

In the case that the original stylist has no time available, or if you feel that the technician is unable to provide the service, an exception may be made by the approval of management for the redo to be scheduled with another stylist.

If you request the service with another higher priced stylist you will be responsible for paying the difference in cost of the service.

We do not offer refunds on services.

Try Another Stylist Policy:

We realize that you may need to switch to a different stylist based on a variety of reasons – schedules, prices, or sometimes just to get a different perspective.

Please feel free to ask us for a referral to another in-house stylist. All of our stylists are very supportive of one another. We keep detailed records of your service history and color formulas.

All our stylists have equal access to this information. And, don’t forget, we have our own in-house Assistant program. Our stylists have received their training from our own designer stylists. In this way, we can ensure that no matter whom you see, you will receive the same high quality service to which you have grown accustomed.

Brazilian Blowout Refund/Redo & Guarantee Policy

It is very important that you understand that the Brazilian Blowout is not a straightening service. It is a keratin smoothing treatment that is designed to help eliminate frizz and make blowing your hair straight much faster. If it usually takes you 30 minutes to blow your hair straight then after a Brazilian Blowout it will take 15.

You should see a significant decrease in frizz and that your hair remains straight even when it is extremely humid outside. Your hair will not dry straight on its own. Within 30 days your hair will return to its natural curly, wavy or frizzy state.

  • Brazilian Blowouts have a 30 day guarantee when proper products have been purchased.
  • Brazilian Blowouts are designed to last up to 12 weeks.
  • Longevity depends on several factors they are the following:
    • How often you wash your hair.
    • How many Brazilian Blowouts you have received in the past.
    • Swimming in chlorinated pools and salt water.
    • Prior condition of the hair before the Brazilian Blowout is performed
    • Prior chemicals that may already be on the hair

We do not offer refunds on Brazilian Blowout services.

Late Arrival

Please arrive early for your appointment to ensure your services run as smoothly as possible As much as we would like, we cannot guarantee service for late arrivals over 15 minutes. In most cases, we will have to reschedule you or possibly abbreviate the intended services.

Cancellations

We ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to keep your appointment. Cancellations made after this window of time are subject to a $45 late cancellation fee. This will be charged to your credit card file. This fee is used to compensate you stylist for their time.

No Show Policy

Please be courteous and cancel if change your mind. There will be a $45 no show fee charged to your credit card on file in order to compensate your stylist for lost revenue.

Pre-paid Discounts Cancellations/ No Shows

(ie: Living Social, Groupon, Buywithme): If you are coming to the salon on a pre-paid discount and fail to give a 24 hour notice you will lose the discounted service and/or discounted visit (elite salon pass). We apologize for any inconvenience.

Children

We love families and children. However, we use chemicals, hot irons and sharp scissors – and don’t want anyone to be injured while visiting The Beauty Box Salon, least of all a child.

Additionally, we are committed to providing a relaxing, stress-free atmosphere for all of our guests, and our staff does not provide childcare services. If you must bring your children to your appointment, they must be well behaved.

Children under 12 may not be left unattended.

Cell Phones

Our goal is to provide a relaxing atmosphere so that you may enjoy our services. Please put cell phones on vibrate or turn them off while visiting the salon. We ask that you not use cell phones while your stylist is working on your hair. You arewelcome to use your cell phone in the reception area.

Payment

The Beauty Box Salon accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Gift Cards and Cash. Please make note that we do not accept checks. Payment is expected upon completion of services.

Gratuities

Gratuities are not included in the prices of packages or services. At your discretion gratuities are graciously accepted.The industry average ranges from 15-20% of the service fee.
