Laura Barsotti | Dallas Stylist Q&A
I have been in doing hair for twenty-three years and in this time frame I have worked as a creative hair designer, master haircutter and colorist, former salon owner and trainer and national educator that has taken me around the country working trade shows. I have worked fashion shows, done editorial hair and have had my work published in magazines. I have personally trained and worked with with many of the top icons of the beauty industry and have developed and implemented many training programs for salons.
I tribute my passion and success to the experience gained in the Paul Mitchell program and to all the other amazing artists I have learned form and continue to learn from. I feel I best fit as an artist, trainer, hairdresser, colorist and beauty coach.
Why do you love hair? I love hair because I get to make people feel good, look beautiful and smile both on the inside and the outside. It makes my heart sing.
Favorite Service(s) to Provide: My favorite services to provide are cutting and color together to create one look that works in harmony with one another.
Favorite book? My favorite book is… Oh the places you’ll go by Dr Seuss it has a great message for adults too! You guys should read it.
If you were on a trip and your luggage was lost, what essential products would you have to have in your carry on? My must haves are a thermal protectant, a roots booster and a shine spray!
If you had to do one style of hair for the rest of your life, what would it be? If I had to do one hairstyle for the rest of my life hands down it would be a bob, classic, angle forward, layered… Any kind of bob! Love cutting then and I’m awesome at it! That nice solid clean line! And then breaking it up for texture and movement or not! Simply love then!
Grade you got on your first hair test? My hair test grade was a 97%!
Personal Hair Horror Story: My personal hair horror story is it was right before my highschool graduation and I got a perm and it was way to curly, it was kinky curly and then she cut all of my hair off and my bangs way to short! When I walked out of the salon I had the hair of my grandma! It was awful!
Favorite cocktail? My favorite cocktail is spinach, kale, carrot, apple ginger juice on the healthy side and if your talking about alcohol, well my new fav is a mambo taxi since I just moved to Dallas.
Is there one gift you don’t mind getting over and over again? Love, respect peace and happiness. In a monetary thing anything clothes and shoe related![title size=”2″ content_align=”left” style_type=”default” sep_color=”” class=”” id=””]Portfolio Work & Blog Posts[/title][blog number_posts=”” offset=”” cat_slug=”blog-posts-laura-barsotti” exclude_cats=”” title=”yes” title_link=”yes” thumbnail=”yes” excerpt=”yes” excerpt_length=”35″ meta_all=”yes” meta_author=”yes” meta_categories=”yes” meta_comments=”yes” meta_date=”yes” meta_link=”yes” meta_tags=”yes” paging=”yes” scrolling=”pagination” strip_html=”yes” blog_grid_columns=”3″ blog_grid_column_spacing=”40″ layout=”medium alternate” class=”” id=””][/blog]
